Nordic co-operation

Pardia co-operates with corresponding Nordic trade organizations. These are YS Stat (YS-S) in Norway, Statstjänstemannaförbundet (ST) in Sweden, HK Stat in Denmark, SFR-Séttarfélag (SFRS) in Iceland and Starfvsmannafelagiô in the Faro Islands.

Together with Pardia, the organizations mentioned above form a public servants and employees’ co-operation organization NSO*. In addition, another of our Nordic channels for exerting influence and co-operation is the global and European public sector trade organizations’ Nordic electoral district’s NOFS**. The issues debated in these organizations are in the main the same as those on the European level.

The NSO organizes an annual conference in which current issues relating to each Nordic Country, European state administration and employees come under discussion. Employers’ representatives also participate in these conferences. In addition, many Pardia’s member associations conduct their own regular Nordic co-operation with the corresponding trade organizations in their fields.

The presiding officers and secretariat of the NOFS always gather before the EPSU and PSI meetings to discuss the matters on the agenda of these meetings and to outline joint Nordic policies for them.
